William "Bill" F. Mackintosh, of Lumberton, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. He was 87. Born in Mt. Holly; the son of the late Roland and Laura (Farr) Mackintosh.
Bill was a true man's man that loved the outdoors and would give you the shirt off his back. He was an avid hunter, loved to fish, and even in his 80s he enjoyed taking his quad for a ride through the farm. Bill was very proud of his family, was loved by everyone who had the honor of being his friend, enjoyed his weekly trips to Columbus Market and he especially looked forward to Wednesdays.
When you asked him what he did he'd say "a little bit of everything" He worked for Florence Foundry, Roebling, and eventually retired from Mt Holly Public Works.
William was the loving husband of 67 years to the late Patricia Mackintosh. He is survived by his 5 children: Sandy, Debbie, William, Brian, and Steven; 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, James; many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, July 5th from 10-12 PM at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly. Funeral services will follow at 12 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be held privately.
