Jimmy& Sandy,
I would like too pass on my condolences to you on the passing of Billy. I was a little kid when we moved to William Street. I have great memories of playing Basketball, peegie ball, football with Billy and Jimmy both, and the many other kids that enjoyed William street park back in the late 60´s and 70´s! Billy was a wonderful person, that I reconnected with in the early 2000´s when I took my son over to Trinity catholic too watch football or basketball games! A true gentleman!
God bless
Larry Tiplady.

I have been fortunate to know Bill for a long time and was so lucky when we eventually became colleagues at Catholic High. Billy was one of the best...he was ever-present and would do anything to help others, especially his "scholars". Yes, even giving students the collared shirt and tie off his back! He was a kind, supportive, humble man with an interesting sense of humor who was grounded by his deep sense of faith. Billy you will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. With thoughts and prayers to the love of your life, Sandy as well as your family. May you rest in the eternal peace you have earned.!

I first met Bill when I was the assistant coach of the Saint Mary´s Ice Hockey team and he was the team manager. We later reconnected at the Town of Greenwich, Department of Parks and Recreation, Marine and Facilities Operations Division where we shared many great times. He had a wonderful sense of humor and could tell some of the best stories. My best to Sandy and their son Jimmy at this time of sorrow.

Sandy, I´m sorry to learn of Billy´s passing. We were classmates at St. Mary´s and being a neighbor, I would occasionally see him when he would be taking a walk listening to a baseball game on his headphones. It was always nice to chat with him. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. Rest in Peace Billy

It was an honor working with Bill. He was the consummate teacher and mentor to his students. Kind, generous, patient and empathetic, he could work with any type of student, find a way to reach them and help them become better students and better people. Bill was also a wonderful and supportive colleague. His dry sense of humor and natural warmth never failed to lift a spirit.
Bill was an extraordinary human being who will be sorely missed.

Our deepest sympathies to Bill´s family. He was "one of the good guys" who loved his students and they loved him. He taught at both Catholic Middle School and Trinity Catholic High School where I had the privilege of being the Principal with Bill being an integral and loved member of the faculty. May he rest in peace
