Services for Mr. William Lee “Billy” McDonald, Jr., 57, of Tyler, are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Bartley Funeral Home in Grand Saline, with Gary Martin and Brooke Molina officiating.
Interment will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery.
Billy passed away on June 27, 2025, in Tyler. He was born on September 25, 1967, in Sweetwater, Texas, to William Lee and Wilma Delayne McDonald. Billy spent the majority of his life in Van Zandt County, and over twenty years in Golden, before moving to Tyler about a year ago.
He grew up working alongside his family, laying floors in both commercial and residential settings. He co-owned and operated M&M Floors in Grand Saline with his brother, Joe Bob McDonald, where he was known as a Master Flooring Craftsman. Billy also worked as an OEM Production Manager in the HVAC industry.
A man of many talents and passions, Billy was an avid fisherman, a skilled hunter – the greatest one you’ll ever meet, and a dedicated gardener. He was a talented artist, a great cook, a proud pitmaster, and a self-declared Cornhole “World” Champion—titles his family and friends would gladly support.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Lee “Bill” McDonald, and his mother, Wilma Delayne McDonald.
Survivors include his wife, Kelly McDonald of Tyler; stepmother, Deborah Henson of Grand Saline; son, Halstyn McDonald of Tyler; daughter, Brooke Molina and husband Fabian of Tyler; four brothers, Scott McDonald of Grand Saline, Joe Bob McDonald and wife Amy of Carlsbad, NM, Brett Davis of Grand Saline, and Sammy Davis of Mineola; five sisters, Margie White and husband Ronnie of Quitman, Laura Woods and husband Jamie of Grand Saline, Dana Grisso and husband Joe of Electra, Dawn Taylor and husband Gary of Tyler, Stacia Bragg and husband Damon of Grand Saline; in-laws, Gary & Patricia Martin of Tyler, and Bobby & Linda Pannell of Granbury; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Fabian Molina, Halstyn McDonald, Scott McDonald, Joe Bob McDonald, Dustin Sauceman, and Codye Taylor.
The family will receive friends 10 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
