William “Todd” McIntosh, 61, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by many of his loved ones, on October 6th, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Todd was born in Anderson, Indiana, on February 19th, 1964, to Opal and Dudley McIntosh.
Todd graduated with the class of ’82, from Highland High School in Anderson, Indiana. He was a heavy equipment mechanical specialist for Deeds of Indianapolis for many years before becoming a mechanic for Yorktown Environmental Services. He had innate knowledge of any vehicle, boat, or machine he turned a wrench on. Todd was gifted with MacGyver style fix-it qualities and had a knack for taking on any project, earning the title “Master of All Trades” honestly.
Known to many as being soft-spoken as well as witty, Todd hit the ground running every morning. Whether he was working, treasure hunting for a bargain or hidden gem, teasing his friends and family, telling a funny joke, hunting, fishing, or maintaining his family property, Todd gave life his all and invited everyone he met to participate. He was a perfect mix of sweetheart and savage and strived to be a simple kind of man.
While Todd was not known to be religious, he found faith and peace in Jesus near the end of his illness and defeated death by putting his trust in him.
Those left to cherish Todd’s memory are his mother, Opal McIntosh; sister, Carolyn Venable (Scott Lentz); son, William “Andy” (Torious) McIntosh; grandchildren, Maycee, Olivia, and Colton McIntosh; son, Joshua (Leigh) McIntosh; granddaughter, Claire McIntosh; daughter, Tiffany Hancock; grandchildren, Amaya Christian and Kamden Hancock; lifelong best friend, Brett Phipps; niece, Abigail (Connor) Venable Morse; and a plethora of friends he made everywhere he went.
Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents, William “Alfred” and Maggie Cave; father, Dudley McIntosh; and his closest companion, Dozer.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Ballard & Sons Funeral Home in Middletown, Indiana at 1:00pm, with Chaplain Jamie Reese officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of the service on Tuesday. Cremation will take place with Ballard and Sons Funeral Home.
