William I Meehan, 85, of Brielle, NJ, Sunday Sept. 15, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born & raised in Brooklyn NY, former resident of Verona NJ and resident of Brielle since 2008. Bill Graduated from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY. He worked as a software engineer for several companies over the years such as, RCA, MCI, EAB & Organon Pharmaceuticals. Before his retirement to Brielle in 2008, Bill was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Verona, NJ, enjoyed playing golf with friends and family & loved summers down the Jersey Shore or at Topsail NC with his family.
Bill was predeceased by his parents Raymond & Mary; wife, Carolyn Fritts Meehan (married for 50 years until 1/18/19); siblings Maureen Meehan, Richard Meehan & Anne Gilmartin. Bill is survived by his son Kevin (Michelle) & grandchildren Joseph & Kaitlyn of Charlotte, NC. By his daughter Suzanne Cassidy (Jim) & grandchildren Ryan & Erin Nolan of New Milford, NJ. Bill also leaves behind siblings Raymond Meehan of Millbrook NY, Jane Coyle of Ramsey NJ and Susan Meehan of Manasquan NJ. Bill was also a loving Uncle and friend to many.
Arrangements are under the care of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan, NJ. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 9am to 10am with funeral mass to start at 10am, both being held at St. Denis, 90 Union Ave, Manasquan, NJ 08736. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Affinity Care Hospice of NJ at https://affinityhealthmanagement.com/donation/ or mail to: 635 Duquesne Blvd., Suite 1, Brick, NJ 08723.
