William "Bill" Joseph Melton of Selma, Alabama passed away on January 15, 2024 at the age of 83.
Bill was born in Ontario, Canada on January 14, 1941 to the late William J. Melton and the late Gladys Irene Arbany Melton.
He made his living as a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Bender Melton; children, Jessica McDonald, Jacquie Taylor, Ted McDonald; siblings, Robert Melton, Sharon Gibson, Dawn Griffen; niece, Patty Isaack; nephews, Ronny Rathke, Randy Rathke, Ricky Rathke, Paul Hicks, Frank Suddeth and Kevin Hale.
He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Richard Rathke.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley Grande Baptist Church with Rev. Caleb Winningham offciating.
Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens.
