William "Bill" Munk

William R. Munk, 91, a resident of St. Mary's GA and previously of Odenton, died March 31, 2025. Born in Baltimore on September 1, 1933 to the late William P. and Estelle Munk (Franklin). Bill was a longtime employee of the Carling Brewing Company in Baltimore, retiring after 30+ years of service. He was an avid fan of the Orioles and Ravens and he loved listening to John Denver music.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Evelyn. Bill is survived by his children; Susan (John) Russell of St. Mary's, Eric Munk, of Middle River, MD and Joyce Hamilton of Inverness, FL; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bill's life celebration on Monday, April 7 from 4-7 PM at Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, where his funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 8 at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Baltimore. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231.
