William James Murphy

Obituary
William James Murphy IV, of Upper Darby, passed away on August 12, 2021 at the age of 34 surrounded by family. Though he left this world far too soon, his memory will live on in our hearts forever.

William was a devoted husband to Tara Murphy, a loving son to William J Murphy III and Donna Manini, a beloved brother to Michael T Murphy. He is survived by his stepmother Eileen Murphy, stepfather Joseph Manini, stepsister Stephanie DiMartino, stepbrother Ryan J Manini, Aunts, Uncles and cousins, all who love him more than words can express.

Bill had a personality that was bigger than life. He could bring a smile to even the most serious person with his sarcastic wit, goofy sense of humor, and his playful charm. Bill was a true romantic and when he loved, he loved with his whole heart. He was a generous and caring friend and was kind to everyone he met. He wanted everyone to feel included and welcomed, and he loved to root for the underdog. He lived life to the fullest and was always up for an adventure. He was truly fearless.

Bill was an avid guitar player who enjoyed several genres of music. He loved playing his Fender Stratocaster and jamming to rock and roll with his father. Bill was athletic and excelled at various sports. He loved hockey and was a huge Flyers fan. Bill had many hobbies that include, working out, going to concerts and live shows, skateboarding, collecting stickers and concert tickets, attending sporting games, playing horseshoes, reading biographies, water activities, watching crime documentaries, getting tattoos, and traveling.  Most of all he valued spending time with family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Wednesday August 18, 2021, 6:00-8:00 PM and Friday August 20, 2021, 10:30-11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, followed by his Memorial Service on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
