William "Bill" O'Connor, age 76, of Brick, peacefully passed away on January 28, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Bill was born, and raised, in Rahway to the late Edwin and Mary O'Connor. He was the youngest of five children, two preceded him in death. He settled in Brick, NJ in 2012 after living throughout New Jersey. Bill has accomplished many things in his life but spent most of his time working in the flooring business throughout New York and New Jersey.
If you knew Bill, you knew that he was a definite motorcycle and automobile enthusiast. He felt the "Need for Speed" and loved any type of racing. He had a far-reaching knowledge of the inner workings of cars and bikes which turned into a significant hobby of both car restoration and amateur racing himself. He enjoyed going to races with his family and friends and always had a great time. Bill and his family shared many common interests which resulted in a lot of quality time spent together.
Bill is survived by his children, his son, Tate and his wife Leah O'Connor of Tallahassee, FL and his daughter, Kelly O'Connor of Tallahassee, FL; his 3 grandchildren, whom he was so proud of, Braidan, Caitlin and Miles; his siblings and their spouses, Mary and Jim Allan of Jersey City, NJ and Edwin and Janet O'Connor or South Amboy, NJ; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Bill was predeceased by his brothers, Dennis and Terrance (Terry); and his former wife, Diane O'Connor (Née Boretzky), mother of his children.
A celebration of life with family and friends will be held at a later time.
Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Avenue, Manasquan, NJ.
