77, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2025, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Marie S. (Renzi) Perry for 53 years. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late William and Pauline (Covino) Perry. Bill's life journey was marked by his kind and caring nature, great sense of humor and an unwavering passion for music and family.
Bill spent much of his career as a purchasing agent, first serving at Rhode Island Hospital and later for the City of Cranston. Beyond his professional achievements, Bill was known for his love of music. He showcased his musical talent by playing the drums in various bands since the late 1960s, including notably Fortune and Wavelength. His love of music extended beyond his performances; he found joy in listening to renowned artists such as Van Morrison and John Prine, and enjoyed the music created by his two sons. One of the things Bill loved was going out to listen to local musicians. Bill was also a long-time member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts [ACE] and had a passion for traveling to amusement parks.
Most importantly, Bill treasured the time spent with his family. In addition to his wife Marie, he is survived by his two sons, Douglas and Derek Perry. He was the dear brother of Gail Planer, Robert Perry and the late Jean Morrow. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Bill was known for always offering a helping hand, being deeply supportive and truly being there for others.
