William E. "Bill" Parris, 82, husband of Kathryn Charlene Dillard of Inman, SC, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025 at his home surrounded by those he loved. Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of the late Bailey A. Parris and Bessie Neal.

Bill was a hardworking man who lived his faith daily and loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Bill's strong belief and humble spirit touched everyone who knew him. He was known as "Pa Pa" to the neighborhood kids who would get off the school bus each day. Bill would wait outside for them, always offering a warm smile and a familiar wave, a simple act that showed the kindness and care that defined his life. He was devoted husband, he shared a lifetime of love with his wife, Charlene, who was the love of his life. Bill will be remembered as a humble and special man whose love for God and people never wavered. His legacy of faith, love, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of those who loved him most.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Guy Parris, and Jimmy Parris; sisters, Frances McCloud, Dorris Terry, and step-sister Loise Hill.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Charlene Parris, step-sisters, Judy Powell (Jimmy), and Nancy Burnett (Judson); numerous nieces, and nephews; and friends that were more like family.

A funeral service to celebrate Bill's life will be held 11:00AM on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Fairview Baptist Church with Pastor Ty Childers and Rev. Gary Pruitt officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 11:00AM on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Fairview Baptist Church.

Entombment will follow at Good Sheperd Mausoleum.
