William Redfield Obituary

VIRGINIA BEACH- William "Bill" Robert Redfield Jr., 72, passed away peacefully at his home in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on July 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends: his wife Judy Redfield, daughter Tina Redfield, son Joseph Redfield, granddaughter Brittany Harris, and close companions Kevin Johnson, Rodney Jones, Heather Haltigan, Spencer Perry, and Zane Bryan.
Born in Homer, New York, William served honorably in the United States Navy as a Radioman Chief (RMC), beginning a life defined by service, strength, and devotion. He was the heart of his family-a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He is now reunited with father, William Redfield Sr., his sisters, Mary and Laurie; and his brother Robert.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Redfield; his children Tina and Joseph; his grandchildren Brittany, Justin, and Griffin; his siblings; his bonus daughter Shana; his lifelong friend Jim "Jimmy" LaMarca; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his first-born son, Christopher Redfield, and his mother, Thola Redfield.
Papa had a deep love for music and stamps, but it was the daily laughter and conversations shared with his wife that truly filled his days with joy. His loyal dogs, Beau and Beck, will miss him dearly, as will all who had the honor of knowing him.
He was our rock, our hero, and the foundation of our family.
Bill will be laid to rest amongst his fellow service members at Albert G. Horton Jr Memorial Veterans Cemetery on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of William, please visit our floral store.
