William Frank Steele
Age 72, of Tawas City, Michigan died unexpectedly at MYMichigan Medical Center Tawas in Tawas City, Michigan on Friday, November 14, 2025. Bill was born the son of the late Gene and Bernadette (McDonald) Steele on May 3, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan.
He was self employed for 30 plus years in the vending machine industry before his retirement. On October 13, 1990 Bill married Nancy Babcock at Galilean Baptist Church in Livonia, Michigan and together they shared 35 years of marriage and raised their son Adam.
He kept very active and enjoyed bowling, hunting, playing with his beloved dog Mya, daily walks at the dog park, tug of war and her snuggles! He looked forward to traveling and fall getaways every year.
Bill attended the Bible Believers Baptist Church of Tawas City and felt very welcome anytime he walked in the doors, in his eyes it felt like the church was part of his family! We have comfort in knowing he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior, he is with him now in Heaven, and we will see him again!
He is survived by his wife Nancy, son Adam and sisters; Mary Steele (Dennis Fijalkowski), Jeanne (Paul) Little, Patricia (Timothy) Gardner and Cathy (Gary) Waller and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
Per his wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at The Bible Believers Baptist Church of Tawas City at 21 S. Chambers Road Tawas City, MI 48763 on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iosco County Humane Society.
