William Storch Obituary

William A. Storch, "Bill" 82, peacefully passed away on Jan. 26th at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was the husband of Diane(née Stawicki). Bill and Diane were longtime residents of Brielle, NJ and recently celebrated 47 years of marriage. Born in Newark, NJ, Bill was the eldest son of Fredrick and Elizabeth. The Storch family later moved to Belmar, NJ where William attended both St. Rose Elementary and St. Rose High School, where he graduated from in 1957. Soon after his high school graduation he served in the USAF in Tunisia and Libya. He was employed by the Central Jersey Bank and Trust of Freehold. Bill was later employed by the Freehold Raceway as well as the Meadowlands Racetrack. Most recently he was a member of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church of Toms River. Prior to that he spent 41 years as a parishioner of St. Denis Church in Manasquan. Bill will be remembered as a kind and caring husband and father. He also took great pride and joy in seeing his grandchildren grow.
Bill is survived by his wife Diane, his children Dr. Stephanie McNemar and her husband Woodie (Milford, KS), Leo Storch and his wife Kelly (Toms River, NJ), and Patsy Perry and her husband Steve (Wilmington, MA) as well as his three grandchildren, Mia, Riley, and Evan. Bill is also survived by his sister Elizabeth Simpson (Springfield, IL) and his brother James Storch (Mount Pleasant, SC) and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Denis Church, 90 Union Ave, Manasquan, NJ 08736 with the visitation being held at St. Denis Church at 9:00 am until the time of the Mass. The interment will follow the Mass at St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall, NJ 07719. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to The Northern Ocean HFH, 1214 Rt. 37, East Toms River, NJ 08753 or online at www.nothernoceanhabitat.com.
