William Solomon "Billy" Strobel

William Solomon (Billy) Strobel, 63 of Maysville, NC passed away Sunday evening, November 17, 2024. He is survived by his mother Marie Koonce Strobel of Pollocksville, NC; sister, Teeny Strobel Tait of New Bern, NC; sister, Becky Strobel Hansley and brothers, Louis Strobel, III and Timmy Strobel of Maysville, NC; and his beloved and faithful German Shepherd, Emmit of Maysville, NC. He is predeceased by his sister, Ann Strobel Daech and father, Louis Strobel, Jr.; and his mentors and beloved grandparents who were most dear to him, Louis Strobel, Sr. and Ethel Gillett Strobel. Billy's favorite activities in life were spending time in and along the coastal waters of NC, working projects on the farm with Emmit and participating in church activities. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Midway Methodist Church 370 Stella Rd., Stella, NC 28582, where Billy was a Trustee and faithful member. Following the ceremony, friends are invited to join the family for a Dutch-treat dinner at Billy's favorite restaurant, The Bogue House in Swansboro, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Midway Methodist Church at P.O. Box 48, Stella, NC 28582.
