William Lewis "Bill" Tessa, 74, of Bluefield, WV, gained his angel wings on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the VA Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
Born on March 1, 1951 in Goodwill, WV, he was a son of the late Steve and Edna Maynor Tessa. He was a U.S Army Veteran and won many awards while serving including "sharp shooter" award. After his years with the army, he ran his own business and was a successful housing contractor for 32 years.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Mike and Joe Tessa and a sister, Joyce Phelps.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Starling Tessa whom he spent 50 wonderful years married to; a son, Michael Farmer of NC; A grand-daughter Mikaylia Farmer-Pennington whom was his own daughter in Bill's eyes. Brothers, Willis "June" Tessa, Jr., Dale Tessa, and David Tessa; sisters, Drema Tessa, Karen Thompson, Cindy Ritchie, Sherri Blankenship, and Teresa Dillon; with several nieces and nephews. Grand daughter, Chelsea Farmer. Great grand- daughters; Ryleigh Newton, Kynlee Newton, Haisley Whittaker, and Great-grand son Waylon Whittaker. Bill had many titles but, most importantly he was a provider, a family man, a very hard worker, and loved and adored his family; especially his grandkids. Bill was the heart of our family and the pillar of our strength. His legacy of love, laughter, and countless cherished memories will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends.
Bill will be cremated and there will be no services at this time.
