William Eli Turner, Jr., age 89, died on August 2, 2025 in St. Clair Shores Michigan. He was born on February 10, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan to his parents William and Dorothy (nee: Barnum) Turner.

William was the loving father of Mark Turner (deceased), Timothy Turner, and David Turner. He is the cherished grandfather of Sandra Turner, Lynsey (John) Cassell, David Turner, Michael Turner, Katie Turner and Margaret Armstrong. William is also survived by his daughter-in-law Dawn.

William is also survived by his loving daughter-in-law Diane who was extremely instrumental and helpful in caring for William, especially in the last year of his life.

William was the oldest of six siblings. He was the dearest brother of Martha (deceased), Jeannie (deceased), Jim (Grace) Turner, Mary Jo Eckenrode, and Michael Deady.

William proudly served his country as an Army veteran. His self-sacrifice, courage, and loyalty to his country will never be forgotten.

William enjoyed travelling to Arkansas to visit his relatives, where his family grew up. He also enjoyed Karaoke, playing the guitar, and singing.

Visitation for William will be held on Tuesday, August 5th from 9:30am to 11:30am at Chas. Verheyden, Inc., 21705 Gratiot Ave., Eastpointe. Interment follows at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township.
