Floyd Turner, Jr., age 81, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, July 28, 2025, at his residence. He was a native and resident of Westwego, LA. Floyd was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired owner and operator of his own lawn care service. Floyd was an active and faithful member of Household of Faith Church in Gretna, where he served as a deacon. Beloved husband of Josephine Whitley Turner. Devoted father of China Turner, Necole Grant, and the late Floyd Turner III. Stepfather of James and Belinda Edwards. Son of the late Floyd Turner, Sr. and Lou Annie Turner. Grandson of the late Dan and Lou Annie Spears. Loving brother of Gene Spears, Janice Edge, Joycelyn Spears, and the late Edgar A. Landry. Floyd is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Household of Fatih Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Household of Faith Church, 712 27th Street, Gretna, LA on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00a.m. Pastor Booker T. Collor, Jr Officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the church.
