Graveside services for William Melton Wampler, Sr., 95, of Forney, Texas will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Godley Cemetery.
William Wampler, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 in Forney. He was born April 24, 1929 in Weatherford, Texas to Homer and Jewel (Lindsey) Wampler.
William served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a machinist for Weatherford Oil and Tool for over 40 years until his retirement. William was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Peggy Jean Sinclair Wampler; second wife, Marita Power Wampler; daughter, Debra Louise Wampler Rutenschroer; brother, Cletus Ray Wampler; and one son-in-law, Earl Wade Presley.
Survivors include his son, Bill Wampler, Jr. and wife Janna; daughter, Debbie Presley; grandchildren, Sharee, Cody, Katy, Kristi, Nicky, and Jeremy; multiple great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
