William Henry "W.H." Wofford, 89 of Gainesville died Thursday July 11, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Gainesville
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Wofford was the son of the late Claud and Luvina Riley Wofford. Mr. Wofford was retired from North Georgia Propane of which he was co-owner. He was a member of Dewberry Baptist Church #2.
Mr. Wofford was a very loving gentleman who touched many lives and was loved by all.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Janet Wofford, Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Rob Poitevent, Alpharetta, grandchildren, Riggs and Nevada Poitevent, Reilly Poitevent, Lilly and Gabriel Bremer, sister, JoAnn O'Kelley. A number of other relatives also survive.
Mr. Wofford is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen Lackey Wofford, brother, Junior Wofford and sister, Tina Harm.
The family would like to say a special Thank You to the staff at the Phoenix at Lake Lanier, for the love and care shown to Mr. Wofford while he was there.
Funeral services will be held Sunday July 14, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Nix will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Alvin Burns officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions please be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia, 2150 Limestone Parkway Suite 222, Gainesville, Georgia 30501 in memory of Mr. Wofford.
