William D. “Bill” Zehnder, 74, passed away April 9, 2013.
He was born in Akron, and was a lifetime area resident, retiring from General Motors after 30 years of service. Bill loved fishing, camping and being outdoors. Preceded in death by his son, Terrance; parents, Dayle and Florence (Mackey) Zehnder; and brothers, Dayle Zehnder, Tim Smith and Jimmy Zehnder, he is survived by his wife, Garnett Zehnder; sons, Bill and Ted Zehnder; grandchildren, Haley, Courtney, Cody, Taylar and Brittney; brothers, Duane and Stevie Zehnder; sisters, Ginger (Robert) Coffman, Lucy Brinkley and Mildred Ann Zehnder; stepdaughter, Angie (Clark) Romine; and stepson, Tim (April) Crites.
Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral service will immediately follow at 12 noon. Burial will take place at Hillside Memorial Park.
