Willie C. Mowel, 61, of Rogersville, passed away Nov. 3 after a period of declining health.
Willie was a Boyscout Master of Rogersville Troop No. 143.
He retired after 25 years of service from truck driving.
He was preceded in death by his father: Willie "Bootie" H. Mowel; and a son: Brandon A. Mowel.
Survivors include his sons: Austin Mowel of Rogersville and Taylor Pack (Sylvia Ruiz) of Hagerstown, Maryland; two grandchildren: Abigail Mowel and Leonardo Ruiz; his mother: Judy Mowel of Rogersville; a sister: Dorothy Mowel; a special niece: Rebecca (Jacob) Hickman all of Rogersville; and a special cousin: Lonnie Matthews.
The family expresses a special thank you to the staff of Amedisys Home Health and Amedisys Hospice.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Nov. 8 in the Broome Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in Broome Chapel with the Rev. John Moore officiating.
Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
