Willie Thomas

Willie Thomas, age 93, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 24, 2025, at his residence. He was born March 8, 1932, in Clinton LA to Porter Thomas and Mildred Davis Thomas. Willie moved to New Orleans LA after serving in the US Army. He worked for Delta Airlines and retired after 30 years. He was affectionately known as, "Willie T" or "Mr. T". His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. He is survived by his devoted wife, Janice "JP" Thomas; daughter, Angela Thomas of Atlanta Ga; son, Emanuel Thomas (Rochelle) of Missouri City TX; 3 grandchildren Semaj, Kayla, and Ethan, and 4 great grandchildren; adopted son and daughter, Weldon & Andrea Griffin of Gramercy LA; daughter, Angela Crockett of Madison, MS, and many more children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, family members and friends who will sadly miss him. He was predeceased in death by his father and mother, Porter Thomas and Mildred Davis Thomas; his brothers, Jimmie Thomas of Seattle WA and Ned Matthews of Clinton LA, and his sisters, Carrie Thomas of Clinton LA and Mary Lou O'Neal of Shreveport LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Christ Temple of New Orleans, 1300 Alvar St, New Orleans, LA on Sunday, November 16, 2025, for 2:30 p.m. Bishop Onassis Jones, officiating.
