Willie Joe Williams born on January 10, 1934 to the union of Dotson Williams and Lillie Mae Potts- Wiliams in Montgomery, Alabama. Willie formed a strong relationship with the Creator and went to be with the Lord on August 26th, 2024. Willie moved to Ohio as a teenager. Willie would go on to become an over-the-road truck driver for most of his working life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on his cars and trucks. He also enjoyed and liked to reflect on his younger years living on a farm. Willie was an outstanding cook and he loved to share meals with family and friends. Willie was a joy to be around with his great sense of humor and an extreme amount of wisdom that he loved to share with others. Preceded in death by his children, Michael Patterson, Maurice Banks, Vontella Williams, and Shawn Williams. Willie leaves to mourn one brother JB Williams and two sisters, Rosetta Shelton & Lillie Mae Williams. He also leaves to mourn his children Charlene Banks Forte, Willie Williams, Derrick ( Barbara) Banks, Donna Williams, Terry Paige, William Patterson, Renee Patterson, Adam Williams, and Desiree Williams, sixteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Willie also leaves a host of extended family.
