Willow Spring, NC: Mr. Willis Grant Walton, age 63, of White Memorial Church Rd. passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Memorial Services will be 2:00PM-Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Johnson. Burial will be private service.
Grant was born on November 23, 1960 in Wake County to the late Willis Laverne Walton and Margaret Parker Walton. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Lynn Walton. Grant graduated from South Johnston High School. In his early years Grant joined the Marines during his service he became a Military Police Patrol Narcotics Dog Handler. After his service he trained K-9’s for police departments all over the United States with Orchard Knoll Kennels under Ken Mathias. At the time of his passing he was working with BD Distribution Center in Four Oaks. Grant loved going to car shows with his guys. Loved spending time with Jagger and Audrina and spoiling them.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Lisa Ann Ellis Walton; children, Samantha Leigh Walton and fiancé, Edmond “Goose” Locklear, Joseph Andrew Walton; adoptive son, Cody Morrison; sister, June Ballance Hatch and husband, Jim; nieces, Peri Alayna Strickland and Savannah Hatch; nephew, Will Taylor and wife, Meghan and their children; brother-in-law, Bobby Ray Ellis, Jr.; sister-in-law, Donna Ellis and her daughter Tabitha; along with several aunts, cousins and close friends.
The family will receive friends after the memorial service and other times at the home of Samantha Walton at 1606 White Memorial Church Rd. Willow Springs NC 27592.
