Willison T. "Willie" Crites, age 66,of Amanda, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born in Circleville, on September 25, 1958 to Vance and Rebecca (Randall) Crites. He was a graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School, class of 1977. He was a member of Heidelberg Church, Stoutsville. He enjoyed reading, writing in his journal, running, and taking care of his race horses. He loved to play basketball and baseball which he played in Junior High and High School at Amanda. He enjoyed playing basketball at home with his boys and had also previously coached 8th grade girls basketball. Willie loved his dogs, especially Stella and he was well known to sit out front and give treats to all of his cats.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Tracy (Mettler) Crites; sons, Tom (Megan Wengert) Crites, of Lancaster, and Cassius Crites, of Amanda; daughter-in-law, Katlyn Crites, of Lancaster; brother, Randall Crites, of Stoutsville; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, David Crites; his parents; siblings, Kelley Crites, Vance Crites, and Connie Slye.

Funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
