Noweta "Casey" Gyger, age 77, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the Inn at Bear Trail in Lewis Center. She was born on April 11, 1948, in West Columbia, TX to the late Laura (Crafford) Pegg. She was a graduate of Allen High School, in Allen, OK, class of 1966. After graduation, she enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy. She retired from the Fairfield County District Library, Johns Branch in Amanda with over 20 years of service. Casey was an avid reader. She enjoyed travel and camping with her family.
She is survived by her children, Laura Gyger, of Newark, Shelley (Khau) Tong, of Lewis Center, and Paul C. (Beth) Gyger III, of West Chester; grandchildren, Morgan, Jillian and Natalie Gyger, and Caroline and Benjamin Tong; sister, Tanya (Kerry) Caldwell, of Allen, OK; brother, Richard Pegg, of Allen, OK; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother; and her husband, Paul C. "Corb" Gyger.
Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2025, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. A private interment will be held on Tuesday at Amanda Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Care 360 Hospice, 3455 Mill Run Drive, Suite 900, Hilliard, OH 43026.
Casey's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Inn at Bear Trail and Care 360 Hospice for their compassionate care.
