Wilma Jolazette Allen, affectionately known as Jojo, graced the world with her vibrant spirit on February 28, 1967, born to Jo Emilie Jackson at Herman Memorial Hospital in Houston, Texas. As the youngest of seven children, Jojo radiated a fun-loving energy that lit up the lives of those around her. This infectious zest for life followed her through her educational journey in Dallas ISD, where she attended Birdie Alexander, Hulcy Middle School, and graduated from David W. Carter High School in 1985.

Jojo's ambitious nature led her to a successful career in the insurance industry where she dedicated herself tirelessly, spending many years as an underwriter AIG, Aspen, and most recently, Starr International Insurance Company. commitment to her work was admirable, and she rarely missed a day. Beyond her professional achievements, Jojo was truly the life of everyone. Known for her cooking, her spicy gumbo and exceptional grilling skills brought friends and together. Her warmth and ability to connect with others meant that she never met a stranger. Jojo’s remarkable personality shone through her quick wit and heartfelt words of encouragement, making an enduring impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Jojo took immense pride in her role as a mother, and her daughters, Shanai and Morgan, were among her greatest accomplishments. The joy of being "Gigi" to Dayton and Dakota filled her life with even more love and laughter, alongside her beloved Schnoodle, Bentley. The absence of her radiant spirit will be profoundly felt by her family, friends, and the wider community.

A woman of faith, Jojo accepted Christ at a young age and was later baptized at Southern Crest Baptist Church during her young adulthood. With her work complete on this Earth, Jojo entered into her Savior's rest on March 16, 2025. While she may be gone from our sight, her vibrant spirit will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of many.
