Wyatt Thomas Johnson, age 22, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away unexpectedly from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
Wyatt was born on April 10, 2003, in Coffeyville, Kansas to parents, Wayne Johnson and Heather McGuire. Wyatt grew up in Coffeyville where he attended local schools, graduating amongst his lifelong friends from Field Kindley High School with the class of 2022.
Wyatt was full of life; after high school he worked as a plumber's apprentice for McCullough Plumbing. He loved the outdoors, hanging out at the farm with his grandpa, Walt or taking a ride on his motorcycle were some of his favorite past times. Wyatt will be remembered for the way he could light up a room with his larger-than-life personality. The bonds he formed with his family and friends ran deep.
Wyatt will be greatly missed by his father, Wayne Johnson; grandparents, Walt and Drenda Johnson, Rick McGuire and Brenda Billingslee; brothers, Caleb and Haden Johnson; sister, Kiersten McGuire along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and coworkers. He was preceded in death by his mother, Heather McGuire and sister, Baylor Rose McGuire.
Cremation will take place under the direction of David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
A visitation with the family present to greet friends will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to a gofundme.com account that has been set up by his brother, Haden Johnson, to help the family through this difficult time.
