Yolonda Yvette Odem was born on March 3rd, 1967 in Nashville, TN.
She entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 11, 2025. She was the middle child of Velma Odem and the late William Odem. She is survived by her two children, Terah and Damitri Mullens from her former husband, Tony Mullens.
Yolonda graduated from Stratford High School in 1985 and later attended Spelman College, Belmont University, and Tennessee State University. She worked as a Branch Office Administrator for Edward Jones for over 15 years forming meaningful relationships with fellow colleagues and clients.
She was a devoted Christian with a fervent love for God. She sang in the Youth United Community Choir in her youth and the Young Adult Choir. She was a woman of grace, kindness, and unwavering spirit. Throughout her life, she embraced each moment with enthusiasm and compassion, leaving an impressionable mark on the lives of those around her.
Yolonda is survived by her mother, Velma Odem, uncle John (Kris) Cooksey, aunt Janet (Edie) Kizer, aunt Loretta Bradford, daughter Terah Mullens, son Damitri Mullens, brother Jeffery (Antonia) Sanders, Nicholus (Jamie) Odem, sister Regenia (Baron) Cannon, nieces and nephews: Alex Odem, Justice (London) Odem, Corey Cannon, Myles Cannon, Ladonna Roberts, Jeffery Morris, Justin Morris, Jamia Sanders, JaAndra Sanders, and Jamar Sanders (deceased).
