Yvette Michelle Melton of Rock Hill, SC, formerly of Fort Mill, SC, went to be with the Lord on October 28, 2025.
She was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church. She loved animals, arts and crafts, and her family was the joy of her life.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Martin Johnny Cook.
She is survived by her husband, Dustin Melton, sons Stephen Melton and Hunter Gardner, both of Rock Hill. Mother Yvette Wells of Spartanburg, S.C., Sisters Katrina Cook of Virginia and Renee Cook of Rock Hill.
Michelle was a loving, devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Most important to her was her family and always taking care of others any way she could. She was an amazing cook and loved making homemade meals for her family.
Michelle did so little for herself but gave her time and love to others. She dedicated herself to helping those less fortunate. She was an advocate for the homeless, donating food and delivering blankets to them when it was cold outside. Michelle embodied kindness, intelligence, and strength that others could depend on. She lived to serve her family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and love. Despite her health issues, she got up every day and gave her all for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 12 noon at Bethesda Presbyterian Church, 4858 McConnells Hwy., York, S.C. 29745. The family has requested that you please wear Purple or Blue in Yvette's honor. Visitation will follow the services in the Family Life Center at the church.
