Yvonne “Vonnie” Marie Norman a cherished lady known for her kind, loving, caring, and humorous personality, left us on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Yvonne lived a life filled with tremendous passion and service towards others.
Yvonne was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on July 17, 1942, to Elbert L. Via, Sr. and Mamie Marie Via. She graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in Monroe where she went on to have a variety of careers across her lifetime span...investing, billing, banking, shelving books, a notary with stamp in hand...a songwriter, and a real estate agent, daycare and a restaurant owner...She seldom let a challenge pass.
Yvonne was predeceased by the love of her life, John “Jack” Norman; her parents, and her brothers, Elbert “Bubba” Via Jr. and John “Jay” Via.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherri Norman, Debbie Norman Harris and husband, Jimmy, and her son, John “Jackie” Norman, Jr.; her treasured grandchildren, Bo Harris, Kalyn Harris, Hunter Harris, Chelsea Norman, and Grace Norman and one treasured sister, Rita Lynn Moak and husband, Bobby whose lives were greatly enriched by Yvonne’s presence. Her departure leaves an unfillable void in their lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, held at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home located at 2201 Airline Drive Bossier City, Louisiana, followed by a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Steve Lehr.
Honoring Vonnie as pallbearers will be Bo Harris, Hunter Harris, Jason Grimm, Chris Grimm, Bradley Via & John Via. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brent Via and Matthew Arendsen.
