Zachary Lorn Carvey, 31, passed away on November 11, 2023. Zac was born June 4, 1992, in
Lewistown, MT to Lorn and Cathy Carvey. Zac enjoyed going to work with his mom in the salon and logging with his dad. Zac could run any kind of heavy equipment from a very young age. He loved being in the Boy Scouts and teaching hunter safety. He went to school and graduated from Belgrade High School in 2010.
In high school, Zac started work at O'Reilly's, where he quickly showed his outstanding work ethic and personality. There he was also able to build skill and knowledge of his passion for vehicles. Most recently, he pursued his career working at Gallatin Insulation, where he was an exceptional foam sprayer. He took pride in his work and loved his job. He was always so excited to call his mom and dad to tell them about every job he was on. His hard work and dedication will never ever be forgotten.
Zac poured his heart and talent into everything he did. His kindness showed as he was always helping out however it was needed, without request or hesitation.
Zac had his own brand of sarcasm and unique sense of humor with extreme wit. There was never a day he wasn't playing pranks and making people laugh. He and his best friend, Bennett the boxer, were always creating an adventure. His laugh and smile will never ever be forgotten.
He touched so many people's lives and through that he gained many nicknames. His dad called him Guss, his mom and aunts called him Zac-Man, his bonus mom, Susie, called him Dear Boy, his Aunt Heidi called him sweetheart, he picked up on it and started calling everyone sweetheart. His Grandpa Ben call him Herkimer. His greatest nickname is GUNKIE which came from his first-born niece, Taelynn, and carried on by his other nieces and nephews.
Zac absolutely loved and took great pride in his vehicles, especially his 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo. He could diagnose any car problem with relative ease and mechanic heavy equipment with the pros.
Zac took one last adventure with Taelynn, (who he referred to as his kid), Bennett, his beloved boxer and his other pride and joy, Lo Ann his Buick, to La Porte, IN to be with his Ma.
Zac is preceded in death by his Grandma Vicky Pluid; his great grandparents Johnny and Ruby Mocko; Hurley and Myrna Banning; and inherited granny, Ethal Barnes.
Zac will be incredibly missed by best friend Bennett; his mother Cathy Carvey, (Bobby); his father Lorn Carvey (Melody); three sisters, Daniell (Dan Runia), Michelle Carvey, and Ashlie Allmendinger; and nieces and nephews, Taelynn, Mason, Tyler, Hayden, Trever, Karter, Karsyn; grandparents Lorn and Charlene Carvey; grandpa Ben Pluid; grandparents Bert and Nancy Pluid-Liebig; honorary grandparents Brad and Emilene Osler, Debra Barnes Gehringer; and so many other aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.
