Zachary Tyler Smith, 21, of Crystal Springs, went to his forever home and was received into the arms of Jesus on July 7, 2025. Zachary was born on October 21, 2003 to Doug Smith and Sally Smith Badalucco.
Zachary left behind his parents, Doug and Wendi Smith and Sally and Sam Badalucco, his twin brother Nicholas Smith, his sister Julia Claire Smith Clark and her husband Joseph Clark; paternal grandparents, Leon Smith (Paw), Cynthia (Mamaw) and Tommy Rials (Papaw); maternal grandparent Shirley Curtis (Mammy); paternal aunt and uncles, Tommy and Jena Smith, Stanley (PeeWee) and Wendy Smith along with their sons; maternal aunts and uncles, Argle Pennington Jr., Susie and (Webb) Willmott, Deborah Dowe, Sheree and Richard Corkern and their children. He also left behind a niece that he was unable to meet, Hartley Hayes Clark.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Kandy Smith (Grandy); maternal grandfather, Argle Pennington Sr. and maternal uncle Kevin Cox.
Zachary loved and adored his family. He had the sweetest smile and gave the best hugs. He would often run to his mother and give her kisses. Zack loved spending time outdoors, especially on the creek with his father. He enjoyed riding fourwheelers with his brother and sister and floating down the creek with them. There was never a dull moment with Zack, if there was, watch out because that means he may have been up to mischief.
He loved jumping on the trampoline and playing in the pool. He was full of energy and loved to explore. He was an inventor at heart creating toys for entertainment. He loved going to Mamaw and Papaws and eating all of their snacks. He loved his Mamaw and Papaw taking him riding on the golf cart.
Zachary and Nick Smith inspired the family to start a non-profit organization called Raising Forever Homes which plans to build safe forever homes for adults with special needs. Zachary was not able to hold on in this life for our dream to come to fruition, but he is in the arms of Jesus where he is loved, safe, happy, whole, and free from pain and in his forever home.

Loss is never easy I lost two grandsons in less than six months. Time really does not heal this kind of loss, but it does get easier. My prayers are with you and your family.
