Zachary "Zak" Toole passed away on September 24th, 2025 at the age of 55 from complications of liver failure.

Zak was the son of Maggie Brown and James Robert Toole, born in Evansville, IN on April 3rd, 1970 but spent most of his life in Louisville, KY Zak was a proud alumni of Brown School and Murray State University. Zak leaves behind brother Josh, sister Caitlin, 6 nieces and nephews, and many lifelong friends.

Known by his friends as "Coach", Zak loved sports, playing high school basketball for Brown and was a diehard Cardinals and Chargers fan. Always true to himself, Zak was a trusted and loyal friend with a sharp wit and great sense of humor. A proud uncle, Zak was fond of holidays and enjoyed sharing traditions with his family, neices and nephews, singing Christmas carols, cracking jokes, and bringing a warmth to every get-together.

Zak will be missed, loved, and remembered always by his friends and family. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the American Liver Foundation or the Kentucky Humane Society.

A memorial visitation will be held at Pearson's Funeral Home on Sunday, October 5th from 1pm to 5pm, 149 Breckenridge Ln, Louisville, KY 40207.
