Zelma May Wilkinson

March 17, 1934 – August 12, 2025

Age 91

Zelma May Wilkinson left this earth on August 12th, 2025, to rest in the loving arms of her Lord. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of many over the years. She will be remembered for her generous spirit and her deep need to care for everyone she met. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the memories we hold and the legacy she leaves behind.

Zelma was born in Waverly, West Virginia, the youngest of 13 children. Born Zelma Linger, she later met the love of her life, Harley Darrell Wilkinson, and together they made their home in Akron, Ohio. Zelma devoted her life to raising four children, who continue to love her deeply to this day. One of her greatest joys was singing in the church choir, a passion she carried with her through every church she attended.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harley Darrell Wilkinson, and her grandson, Darrell Boito.

Zelma is survived by her children: Dale (Cindy) Wilkinson, Dennis Wilkinson, Sandra (Randy) Munsey, and Sharon Wilkinson-Boito; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

While we mourn her passing, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that gave so much to so many.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed immediately by funeral services at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave., Barberton, OH 44203. Interment will take place at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
