Clarence was my "not-so" distant cousin and my family history research buddy in New York. We connected quite miraculously in 1982. My wife and I were at the NYC Municipal Archives, visiting from Florida, when a friend of his overheard me say "Anspake," a name I had just discovered. This friend was the only other researcher in the room at the time because a blizzard was raging outside! For 35 years Clarence and I researched the Anspake family in America and Germany, and related families. I think of him often, as we shared great moments of discovery together. He was a lovely man who adored his wife Grace, his children, and grandchildren. I'll always be grateful for our long association.

I can't believe it has already been five years. I think of cousin Clarence often, especially when I make a genealogical find on the Anspake family or something concerning New York. I miss sharing these things with him.

My cousin and genealogy research partner for 34 years... you will be missed! Grace, your love and support allowed Clarence to bless many lives. Now he's getting to meet many of those people whose journeys we researched. Our love to you... Scott & Julie Fisher, Fruit Heights, Utah
