Frank Julian Lang Jr.

LANG, FRANK JULIAN JR. Frank Julian Lang, Jr., age 71, of Seymour, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Shady Knoll Healthcare Center of Seymour. He was born in Derby on June 26, 1939, beloved son of the late Frank J., Sr. and Margaret Cook Lang. Frank was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd of Seymour. He had retired from the Social Security Administration in Danbury where he was a Claims Adjuster. He was a United States Army veteran, serving from 1958 until 1964 with the rank of SP 4. Frank was a graduate of Seymour High School's Class of 1957 and also a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Education. Frank was an avid runner, participating in over 100 races and often finished in first place. He loved being with his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all. Frank's loving family includes his beloved brother Robert C. Lang of Seymour and many cherished cousins. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 10:00 DIRECTLY at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour. Interment in the family plot at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby, will follow with full military honors accorded. There will be no calling hours.
