Richard Luken Obituary
Richard G. Beloved son of the late Ruth (Nee: Ludwig) and George Luken. Loving brother of John (Laura) Luken. Devoted uncle of Max (Megan), Michelle and Mitchell Luken, and Great Uncle of Elayna and Maeve Luken. Dear nephew of Marilyn Ludwig and Rosemary Olding. Also survived by numerous other family and friends. Passed away on July 9, 2017 at the age of 60 years. A memorial mass will take place on Saturday July 15th 11:00 A.M. at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1175 Overlook, 45238. Richard, students are supposed to outlive their teachers, or so the conventual wisdom goes. But you, the perpetual student of life, have become a teacher to us all, teaching us how to face diminishment with courage and great integrity, show us that even old "Fools' can learn new diets, and how to maintain a sense of humor even while living daily with the sword of cancer hanging over your head. We are all the better and stronger for having known and loved you! I shall miss you, my friend.

RIP Richard Luken. You fought your battle gallantly for at least 5 years. Your Aunt Marilyn Ludwig loved you with all her heart, and being my best friend I feel her loss deeply. Fly with the angels, Richard, pain free at last.
