Daniel Robert Gaubert

Daniel "Danny" Robert Gaubert, 72, of Houston, Texas died peacefully on Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. Dominic Village surrounded by family: his devoted wife, Evelyn Honses Gaubert, son, Ryan Gaubert, daughter, Danielle Renée Gaubert, and daughter-in-law, Aubrie Fennecken. Danny was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 17, 1949 to Roy Gaubert, Sr. and Lillian Orgeron Gaubert. Danny graduated with a Bachelors in Accounting and Finance from "the Harvard on the Bayou," Nicholls State University, and received his Executive MBA from Stanford. He joined McDermott in 1971 as a staff accountant at the company's main office in New Orleans, and was named corporate controller in 1991 and CFO in 1996 before retiring in 2001. He then joined Kellogg, Brown, and Root in Houston, serving as Vice President, Controller, and Chief Accounting Officer before retiring again in 2006. He is survived by his wife, two children, mother, sister, Mildred, brothers, Roy Jr., Lionel, Jimmy, and Melvin, and many loving nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm (Doors: 1:30) at Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 North Causeway Boulevard, Metairie, LA 70001. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Audubon Nature Institute in Danny's honor.
