Thinking of you my dear friend Adriana.

Although I did not personally know Mrs. Lily Safra, I have come to know of her grace, elegance, sophistication, intelligence, and philanthropic generosity through friends of hers, and the efforts of the Foundation which she chaired. As has been said, "you aren´t wealthy until you have something money cannot buy". Mrs. Safra had the respect and admiration of those she interacted with at all levels. It has also been quoted "it´s easy to make a buck, but it´s a lot harder to make a difference." Mr and Mrs. Edmond Safra certainly made a difference in their lives and will continue to make an enduring difference upon their passing through their Safra Foundation.
May you Rest In Peace Mrs. Lily Safra

To the family of Mrs. Lily Safra especially Adriana Elia and her kids as well as Eduardo and family:
Along with my husband Peter Herkrath, we would like to express our deepest sympathy and condolences on the death
of your beloved Mother.
I was the one of the nurses who cared for your equally beloved Edmond Safra in all of their residences in New York and Europe. I witnessed first hand how Mrs. Safra truly cared for Edmond and ran a most efficient operation of all their residences and household staff. She was a very elegant lady through and through. And yet, when it comes to caring for her husband, she would not hesitate to pitch in and iron his pajamas when the staff is not available as well as warm milk for him when he could not sleep. She would religiously go to her husband's bedroom to pray with him and bid him good night. Both of them would be forever missed but the memories of their loving relationship with each other and with their grandchildren will linger and etched in our collective minds. We are sorry not to be able to contribute to their charities but our finest contribution will be our ardent prayers that they both
Rest In Peace with God!
