Susan was a wonderful friend in high school and again when we reconnected years later. Those who knew her will know what I mean - intelligent, generous and forward thinking. I am so glad to have known her.

How does one forge a strong intellectual companionship with a friend as early as 7th grade? By sharing classes with a precocious and intriguing person like Susan. After high school graduation, we all scatter somewhere else, but she lingers in your mind. Then after fifty years we reconnected at reunion time with a group of high school friends in her Manhattan apartment. She orchestrated lively and fresh conversation as if we'd never been apart. Again, with the California contingent of high school friends when she visited San Francisco. Again a few years later in Manhattan. She died too young at 76, and I know I'm not alone in regretting that there will be no more agains.

I was saddened to learn that Susan had died. She was a very generous woman who truly cared for those less fortunate.

Many of us in Sue´s high school graduating class have been saddened to learn of her passing. She was outstanding in many ways. She was valedictorian of the class as well. She will be missed.

A truly elegant and intelligent woman. I am saddened that she is no longer with us. I met her in college and then we reconnected decades later when I helped her decorate an apartment in Manhattan. We had not been in touch for a few years and I was shocked by this news.

One of the brightest women I have known, a classmate of mine from kindergarten through Commencement in 1965. Sterling character. How does one donate to her foundation?
