John Paul "Root" Kisner, 51, of Eighty Four, died Monday, March 13, 2023, in his home.
He was born December 31, 1971, in Tigard, Ore., a son of Donald E. Kisner, Sr. of Eighty Four, and Nancy L. Hayden Kisner of Washington.
A graduate of Bentworth High School, John worked for Woods Quality Cabinetry in Eighty Four.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and gardening.
On August 25, 1990, he married Kerry Cross, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Ashley (fiance Kyle Rhome) Cross of Washington, and Corey Rendall; two brothers, Donnie (Tammy) Kisner of Finleyville and William H. (Carolyn) Kisner of Eighty Four; two grandchildren, Keagan Cross and Kaedyn Rhome, with twins on the way; and nieces and nephews, Brianna Lynn Kisner, Justin Kisner, Jake Kisner, Emily Kisner and Elyssa Kisner.
Deceased are his grandparents, Ruth Ann and Harold "Jack" Hayden, and Gladys and Ernest Kisner.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 26, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. There will not be a service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 Route 136, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
