Alma Christine Rutherford Faulkner Carlson, born December 25, 1929 in Montgomery County, Texas near the sawmill town of Fostoria. She is the fourth-born of 10 children to Jody and Lona Mae Bass Rutherford. She died on August 9, 2017 at 11:53 PM.
Preceding her death was her husband of 53 years, J.C. Faulkner; her beloved Mom and Dad, Lona Mae and Jody Rutherford; her brothers, Garland Foster Rutherford, J.C. "Jack" Rutherford, and Joseph Hardy Rutherford; her sisters, Helen Ruth Beshears , Lillian Nadine Hopkins, and Francis Dale Everitt ; four brothers-in-law, Elmer Beshears , Hoppy Hopkins, Marion Singleton and Jerry Carter; one sister-in-law, Billie Rutherford, daughter-in-law, Brenda Mars Faulkner, and her beloved niece, Lynda McShan .
She is survived by her husband, Robert Carlson of Bellingham, Washington; one son, Jack Faulkner (Cleveland) and two daughters, Tonya Mahoe and her husband John (Galena Park); and Judy Brandon and her husband Troy (Cleveland). Seven grandson s , Thomas Faulkner (Cleveland), John Briese and his wife Hannah (Fort Worth), Huck Briese (Houston), Max Briese (Dallas), Levi Briese (Austin), Hunter Small (Cleveland), and Jacob Brandon (Cleveland), one granddaughter, Michelle Murphy (Cleveland), two great-grandsons, Lane Goodwin and Jackson Briese, two great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Riley Briese, and one step-daughter, Kristie Keogh and her husband Tom from Bellingham, Washington. She is also survived by her sister, Faye Carter (Cleveland), two brothers, Ray Rutherford and his wife Pat and D.W. Rutherford and his wife Donna (Cleveland). One brother-in-law, Gordon Everitt (Cleveland); four sister-in-laws , Ann Rutherford, Willie Rutherford, Erma Rutherfo r d, and Ann Stewart along with many other relatives that includes a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.
