Bertie Reed Obituary
Bertie C. Trout Reed, age 92, of Tarkington Prairie, Texas, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016. She was born October 4, 1923 in Ada, Oklahoma to parents Sam and Annie Trout who preceded her in death along with her husband, John E. Reed, Sr.; sons, Pat A. Reed and Jerome D. Reed, Sr.; and grandchildren, Wendy Naron, Jeremy J. Reed, Brenda Vandver and Jerome D. Reed, Jr. "Tuffy".
Survivors include her sons, John E. Reed, Jr. and wife Kathy, Larry D. Reed, Sr. and wife Nancy; daughters, Teresa Reed and husband Mike Morehead, Rhonda Jorgensen and husband Ben; daughter-in-law, Donna "Blue" Reed; grandchildren, John E. Reed, III. "Trey", Tiffany Galvan, Laura Ellis, Libby Straughan, Rusty Naron, Larry D. Reed, Jr. "Bubba", Quincey M. Reed, Johnny Brooks, Lettie Witter "Punkin", John H. Hoagland, Jr. "Cactus", Chris M. Jorgensen and Nick B. Jorgensen; twenty-five great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren, numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2016 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will follow starting at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2016 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Ryan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
