Bob Priddy, long time resident of Humble, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the age of 90.
Bobbie "Bob" Jack Priddy was born in Norton, Texas, January 6, 1927 to James Frank and Era Priddy. Bob grew up and graduated from Norton High School. He joined the Navy near the end of World War II where he served 3 years in the Medical Corp. After receiving a Honorable Discharge, Bob attended Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas where he earned a BBA degree. After graduation, he became employed as a Personnel Director for the City of Abilene. Later, he worked for Standard Oil Co. of Texas for many years. Bob went back to school at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth where he earned a Masters of Religious Education degree. For the next 10 years, Bob served in several Baptist churches as the Music Education Director. In 1971, Bob moved to Humble, Texas and opened Priddy's Men's Wear in 1977. In 1985, Bob started a new career selling custom clothing which he continued until his death. Bob was active in the Humble Area Chamber of Commerce for more than 30 years serving as Chairman of the Board (1985), on the Membership Committee and several other committees over the years.
Bob is survived by his wife, Yolanda Priddy. He is also survived by his son, Greg Priddy and family, his daughter Carla Priddy and family, daughters, Neely Roper and Natalie Kimbrell-Derbes and their families. He was blessed to have an extended family which included many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob will be missed by family and friends, but he is an angel in God's choir.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Rosewood Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Humble, Texas.

I just learned about this, Yolanda, and am so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. He was well respected by many and I remember the great discussions we had and the clothes he fitted me with! Our deepest condolences.
