Charles Redmond Obituary

Charles Clovis Redmond Jr., 62, of Kingwood, TX went home to Jesus on December 18th, 2022 surrounded by his wonderful family and loved ones. Chuck, as most people called him, was born on March 25th, 1960 to Charles and Sally Redmond in Cleveland, OH. After graduating from St. Ignatius High School in 1978, he went on to play football for Baylor University, Marion Military College, and Louisiana Tech University. On August 8th, 1991, Chuck met the love of his life at a friend's party. They wed November 14th, 1992, going on to have 4 beautiful children.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Chuck had a deep love for sports, old westerns, and the beach. He was ready to be out of the cold Midwest! He held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with his wife and children. Anyone who knew Chuck, knew he had a zest for life and always wanted to make everyone around him laugh. He had the biggest heart filled with so much joy.

He was predeceased by his father, Charles Clovis Redmond Sr., mother, Sally Redmond, and sister Rita Jean Kerschen. He is survived by his wife Linda Redmond, children, Charles III, Anthony, Jenna, and Ryan, sisters Constance Swift, Suzanne Hornbuckle, and Mary O'Malley and many nieces and nephews.

I was a close friend of Chuck during high school and lived with him and his family our senior year when my family had moved away. I lost touch with him after college- he was a groomsman at my wedding in June, 1982. This saddened me but I´m glad he found happiness. Rest in peace, buddy.

Chuck and I were good friends during grade and high school. He had a competitive edge and a knack for winning - Monopoly, ping pong, pick-up baseball, tennis, just about anything. He was never easy to beat.
Hid Dad bought the first Subaru I ever saw, which got 37 mpg back when gas was "cheap". To do donut with it in the snow, Chuck learned they had to be done in reverse, so that's what he did - fast!
Years separated us, but the kind words written on his behalf make me smile. Regrets for his departure all too soon. Peace to all. Patrick
