Earline Dickerson Obituary

Earline Reece Dickerson was born April 16, 1957 in Willis, Texas. She was the sixth of eight children born to George and Jimmie Lee Reece.

Earline attended elementary school at A.R. Turner school. She graduated from Willis High School in May 1975. Earline, soon, moved to Houston, Texas and began a career at Veterans Administration Hospital. She held this job for over 30 years before retiring. During her employment, Earline earned numerous awards and commendations. She was a loyal and dedicated employee. She was a team worker and earned the love and respect of her co-workers. She always had a brilliant smile for people she met.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 2:00-3:00pm.

Funeral Service will begin at February 13, 2021 at 3:00pm.

Both services will be held at Oscar Johnson Funeral Home

Earline was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Garrett Earl Dickerson. To this union children, Tammika Nicole Dickerson-Scott and Jerald Jermaine DIckerson, were born.

Earline accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and was baptized on September 24, 1967, with several of her young cousins. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and also, attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, regularly. She joined Brentwood Baptist Church , after moving to Houston, Texas.

Earline loved being with her family, including sisters, brothers, and cousins. She loved traveling and being outdoors where she enjoyed horseback riding, camping, fishing, and trail riding. These events always included her children. She often had family over for Barbecue outings, also inviting friends and neighbors over. Earline had a caring heart, always willing to help someone in need.

Earline departed this life answering God's call to "Come Home" on February 06, 2021.

Earline was preceded in death by her Grandparents: Willie Reece , Sr. and Lillie Bell, and Nicie Reese; Parents: George and Jimmie Lee Reece; Brothers: Quintin Ray Reece; Michael Charles Reece.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Daughter: Tammika Dickerson-Scott and Husband Jason, and Jerald Jermaine Dickerson and wife Helen; Brother: Roosevelt Reece; Sisters Georgia Lee Edwards, Louise Pitre, Ruth M. Reece, Verna R. Powers, Charlotte Sims; Uncle: Willie Reece, Jr.; Aunts: Luella Frazer and husband Houston; Marie Kinsey; She will be miss as "Granny" by her grandchildren: Jermeisha Dickerson, Adajia Kizzie, JerMichael Dickerson, Kaden Scott, Adavian Kizzee, JerMya Dickerson, Journee Scott, Jaylon Scott, Malik Woodard; and Great Grandson: Treyson Sanford; a host of Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends; special neighbors: Arnetta Jackson and family.
