Elliot C. Guidry, 85, passed away peacefully at his home on March 23, 2015. He was born in Barataria, Louisiana on February 20, 1930 to Alcess and Alexina Guidry. Elliot served 30 years in the Marine Corp and Air Force. He was a Korean War and Viet Nam War veteran. He was a member of the VFW Color Guard. Elliot was a lover of nature and all God's creation.
Elliot was preceded in death by his parents, Alcess and Alexina Guidry and sisters, Rena Turley and Helen Verdin, all of Marrero, LA.
Elliot is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Vera Mae Guidry, Sister, Lorina Vincent of Morrero, LA; Daughter, Kristine Jennings of Colorado; Son, Bill Guidry, wife Cordie and Grandson Kristopher Guidry and wife Mindy of Bedford, TX; Son, David Guidry and Grandson, Gabe Guidry of Teague, TX; Daughter, Kathi Guidry and Grandsons, Erick Guidry and Adam Rieger and wife Tori of Keller, TX; five Great-Grandchildren, Libby and Keegan Guidry, Allie, Wyatt & Claire Rieger and Kylie Calvert; Step Children, Dr. Michael & Debbie Davis, Glenrose, TX, Matthew & Sharan Davis, Barbara Sparks, David & Beth Davis. Daniel & Joy Davis, Johnny & Debbie Davis, Tomball, TX, Christy & Joey Sherman, Mark & Micah Davis, Darrell Davis, Kingwood, TX, Mandy & Jeff Milligan, Lauren & Micah Stewart, Susan & Glenn Kite, Atascosita, TX, Steven & Melissa Kite, Gregg & Libby Kite and 21 Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 26, 2015, 5-8 PM. Interment was held on Friday, March 27, 2015 10:45 AM at Houston National Cemetery.
