Eloise Marie Knight Dodd, age 85, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015. She was born January 10, 1930 in Beaumont, Tx to parents Julian T. Knight and Millie Ann Knight who preceded her in death along with her husband, Ronald E. Dodd; brothers, Douglas O. Knight and Travis H. Knight; and sister, Betty Carlisle.
She loved cooking and spending time with her family, especially Thanksgiving week in Jefferson, Texas. Eloise was a member of Security First Baptist for over fifty years.
Survivors include her daughters, Gwyn Davis and husband David and Renee Harrell and husband Gene; sister, Carolyn King; sister-in-law, Bobbie Welch; brothers, J.O. "Cotton" Knight and wife Billie, Gary L. Knight and wife Rhue Dean, and Tommy Knight and wife Shirley; grandchildren, Tammy Hammond and husband Shawn, Jason Backhus and girlfriend Kim, Jerrod Harrell and wife Laure, Chase Harrell, and Laura McSwain and husband Kevin; great-grandchildren, Allison Backhus, Mason Harrell, Kahlen Randall, Kambryn Harrell, and Kynlee McSwain; Special Friend, J.W. Boles; Loving Companion, Allie.
Brother Larry Dean will preside over funeral services held 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 13, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Morgan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas. Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas.
